The reunion was a joyous afternoon for us all. It gave us a sense of self, and strengthened the bonds that truly will last a lifetime.
Driving by the Aileen building after the reunion, I never ever thought I’d would actually be glad to see it still standing there. Looking at the old building - now faded and deteriorating - it saddened me. I remembered the parking lot filled with cars , and a once-vibrant workplace.
At the reunion, some of us realized that the Aileen plant will. always be a part of our lives. And that we should count our many blessings for those memories we had at the Aileen plant.
Until we meet again in August 2007, may all the former employees - every day, in some small way - keep the memories alive!
