Roberta Atwood Jenkins, 65, of Washington died Friday, September 1 in Houston, TX.
She was bom September 27, 1940 in Luray to the late Franklin William Atwood and Frances Hester Bradley Atwood.
Mrs. Jenkins was employed by Rappahannock Public Schools for 33 years as a bus driver and worked at MontView Home for six years.
She is survived by her husband, Charles William Jenkins of Washington, a son, Jeffrey Charles Jenkins and wife Rhonda of Washington, a daughter, Frances Estelle Norman and husband Kenneth of Washington, six grandchildren, Bradley Estes, Jason, Travis Jenkins, William, Wade and Wyatt Norman, all of Washington.
Additional survivors include two sisters, Lois J. Atwood Kilby of Fairfax, Doris M. Atwood Burke of Luray, two brothers, Charles B. Atwood of Rixeyville, Va. and Forest N. Atwood of Luray.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Steven Todd Jenkins.
A funeral service was held September 5 at Thornton Gap Regular Baptist Church with Rev. Kirby L. Shenk and Elder Forest Atwood officiating. Interment was followed in Evergreen Memorial Garden, Luray.
