While sparks and controversy sometimes swirl on Rappnet—Rappahannock County’s online community bulletin board—all was camaraderie and good fun at a large picnic on Sunday evening in Sperryville.
Folks of different political, ethnic and other persuasions all joined together without “(Internet) road rage,” even among those who passionately champion Macs over PCs and those who support George Bush and those who can’t wait for him to leave office.
The only fuel added to the fire was fighter fuel thrown on the bonfire by Eric Kvames, the party’s host, to help keep things warm on a chilly evening.
