Jan. 24: Planning for the Next Generation: Estate Planning for Farmers
Will it be a challenge to divide your farm among your children? Have you minimized the estate taxes that will be levied against your farm? Come team the latest options to address these challenges and hear from Lindsay Eastham and Dick McNear about how estate planning helped their family farm. All fanners are invited to attend this free estate planning workshop sponsored by the Rappahannock County Farm Bureau. This event will be held from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the Schoolhouse in Sperryville. The Waggin' Hearts Therapy Dog group has a reading program that they offer free of charge to children of school age. 'Books & Barks Reading Partners Program* will be offering free reading sessions beginning in January with a "Meet & Greet the Reading Dogs". Books & Barks provides a great opportunity for children to practice tHeir reading skills, work on reading assignments or just enjoy reading to a canine friend. The program utilizes registered therapy dog teams who are trained and tested for health, safety and temperament. Our Books & Barks teams offer children an irresistible opportunity to polish their reading skills in a fun. motivating way and helps children improve their self esteem and confidence.
