James W. “'Bill** Fletcher is scheduled to return to the Rappahannock County Planning Commission on Wednesday with his controversial plan tor an events center on FT. Valley Road.

And if Fletchers first application created a storm of opposition. there might be a humcane brewing against Ins second.

Last talk the planning commission was strongly criticized by F.T. Valley property owners who said the group recommended an overly lenient set of renditions tor Fletcher.

But now Fletcher is asking tor everything the planners were willing to give him anji more.

In October, planning commissioners recommended approval tor a bed and breakfast and events center in an existing house at Fletcher's 800-acre Miller Farm, located about 5 miles south of Sperryville. That decision was thrown out a tew weeks later when it was found that Fletchers application had the property listed in the wrong voting district.

The error in Fletcher's application forced him to withdraw his original proposal and reapply. On Wednesday, he will have his second go at the planning commission.

The ongtnal application recommended tor approval allowed tor 24 events with a maximum attendance of 300 persons. This time around. Fletcher is also requesting to be allowed up to five events with up to 500 persons.
