Drougnt mucn oi tne entire community together. Pickin’ Parties are an institution on those second Saturdays at the Sperryville Fire Hall. The Veteran’s Memorial was dedicated in the Sperryville Cemetery and soon thereafter the stairs were repaired and the gates replaced. We said good bye to Eileen and Lucky and welcomed Pelegatta’s Eatery to Main Street. Rae is back serving good food. The RAAC art tour filled our hills and hollows and Main Street with visitors buying art. Mike and Susan opened a new school at Belle Meade. Leap Start Day Care opened this past fall. Sperryville was featured in Southern Living and in Virginia Living magazines. Two excellent chefs , Bertukan Kassa and Hi Soo Shinn Heppinstall served over 65 Ethiopian and Korean dinners each this fall at Pellegatta’s Eatery. Monica Worth, RLEFs new president, opened her office on Main Street...and so much more!
