In the latest twist for struggling Piedmont Broadband customers hoping for restored Internet sendee, a Circuit Court judge ruled Wednesday that a former Piedmont partner was not in contempt of court.

Attorney James Downey contended that Gordon had violated a March 20 injunction by not cooperating with Piedmont staff to restore Internet service to all of its approximately 125 customers.
"We will continue to keep the pressure on until this is solved. Mr. Gordon is not cooperating with us." Downey said in an interview.
Downey represents Richard Shoemaker who is president of Piedmont Broadband.
