running and, heaven forbid, if you are too lazy or too out of shape you still have time to fix that before April 18. If getting yourself fit to run is not an option you may want to join the many local businesses and individual residents who are sponsoring the race.
The Inn at Little Washington is the main sponsor and is underwriting the cost of the T-shirts. The Rappahannock National Bank is underwriting the cost of race number bibs, and water stations are being donated by Griffin Tavern, Rose Hill Veterinary Practice and RNB. But anyone can be a sponsor - you don’t need to be one of these “big name guys,” and if you are interested in this aspect of supporting the Fodderstack 10k please contact Jonathan Moore 675-3092, Jackie Bruce 987- 8714, or Jennifer Manly 635- 2016 or access a form through the race Web site (see question/answer above).
Q: What happens to the money raised through the Fodderstack 10K?
A: First of all, money generated through the race (entry fees and sponsorship donations) goes towards covering the costs of the race, and the balance is then used for the maintenance and improvement of the Rappahannock County Recreational Park. So, you see, the money does two good things - it encourages people to get out and run, and it helps to keep the park fit and healthy too. That s pretty good.
