How many people participate?
A: Approximately 150 runners participated in the first race in 1978. with a high of 330 who registered to participate in 2008, and usually of these about 35 an* walkers. This year, the ' 31st running of the race. 47 men and 44 women have n*gistered to participate as of March 24. Tw o of thi*se runners, Merrill Strange and Robert Gurtler have run in every race* since its inception. Robert is in the 70i ■* runners’ category and continues to take pleasure in this special road race
