Roman Catholic Church, with over one billion adherents worldwide, has yet to place a woman in the office of pope, cardinal, archbishop, bishop, or priest. It may be because women are not considered equal to the task. Or maybe they are not considered equal in the eyes of God. Or just maybe “all men are created equal” is not demonstrably a “Christian principle.”
