year’s subscription from The Rappahannock News; a gift certificate from the Country Cafe; a complimentary meal for two at Cracker Barrel in Front Royal; two lunch sandwiches from 24 Crows; two gift certificates from Rappahannock Cellars - walking and wine-tasting tour for 10 (must be 21 years of age to win); and a gift certificate for a shampoo, haircut and blow dry from the Beauty Box. Now isn’t that great, and isn t that another good reason for taking part in the Fodderstack 10K?
Q: How fast would 1 need to run to break a previous record?
A: Well, first of all, you are supposed to run as fast as you can - that’s a given. The course records right now stand at 31 minutes, 26 seconds for men and 36 minutes, 20 seconds for women.
Q: Are there age limits? Perhaps I am too old (like, yeah, that would be a good excuse for not running!)
A: There are no age limits. Last year we had several runners in the 70+ categories and this year three have signed up for the race. At the other end of the scale 5-year old Skyler Culbertson completed the course in 2008. So....you can’t use age as an excuse for not joining in.
