The Rappahannock Sheriff’s Office's “Relay for Life” team will conduct a fundraising event on Friday, April 24. The “Jail & Bail” fundraiser should provide a fun opportunity for the community to meet and interact with the Sheriffs Office staff for a very worthy cause.
The public may contact the Sheriffs Office from now until April 23 to request an “Arrest Warrant” for someone they know in the community. This could possibly be their friends, co-worker, supervisor, neighbor or family member. The cost of each “Warrant” will be a $3 donation, pledged to the Sheriffs Office Relay for Life team to lie delivered no later than April 30.
The Sheriffs Office volunteers will serve the “Warrants" on the accused on Friday, April 24 from 9 a m. until 12 noon. The accused will be handcuffed and transported to the courthouse, where they will be provided telephone access and allowed to contact people for “Bail Money” - pledged donations to be delivered bv April 30.
