The gentleman said to me that it is apparent that some people have every vehicle that they have owned. They drive in and out of their property and never see them and they never see their rotten/falling-down trees and buildings and piles of junk adjacent to their neighbor’s property. They simply do not see their property as an eyesore to their community and to the whole community of Rappahannock; nor do they realize that their eyesores devalue their neighbors’ properties.
Many of us knew Dr. Krebser and his civic-mindfulness and his caring about Rappahannock. Just before his departure, he spoke vividly about his love of Rappahannock and how he wished each one of us living in Rappahannock would accept his/her civic duty to clean-up Rappahannock to maintain its beauty.
The lady who cleaned-up Richmond Road must have known about Dr. Krebser’s wish.
