His tasks in creating and disseminating this tribute to the elegance of older dogs - his dogs and those of his friends— were myriad and daunting. But, there were also gifts to him in the completion of the book.
Too many old dogs, he explains, are abandoned by their human companions when they are not fun anymore, when their medical care is too expensive, when they are more trouble - some say — than they are worth. They end up in shelters - or sometimes abandoned in houses when their owners leave those foreclosed premises.
These dogs need help and Creel discovered a greater mission - beyond the need for personal expression — in producing his book. He donates every
