The Rev. Jon Heddleston had been eagerly planning for Sunday, June 28.
The foremost reason: He would be hosting a reunion for all of the couples he'd married or who had been married at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church. Secondly, it would be the first event held in the church's newly finished fellowship hall. And he wasn’t quite sure whether the addition would be finished by Sunday.
Luckily, final touches were made just in time and the congregation was able to hold a luncheon for the returning couples after the marriage celebration service.
