Little Fork Episcopal Church in Rixeyville will celebrate its birthday with Little Fork Day, a special service on Sunday, July 5. Beginning at 11 a.m.. with one service only in the historic colonial church, the festivities will continue with a picnic at 1 p.m. on the church grounds on Oak Shade Road. The public is invited to come worship; take a tour of the 18th century church building; and join in the games, wagon rides, and Christian fellowship. All Episcopal church members of Region 1 in Virginia have been especially invited to the worship service and/or the picnic. Please bring a dish to share, chairs or blanket to sit on, and a nonperishable food item for the 1,000can food drive for St. Stephen’s Food Closet in Culpeper. Little Fork Episcopal Church in Rixeyville will have its annual crafts fair in support of African Team Ministries, Inc.,- on Sunday, July 12, and Sunday, July 19. Crafts from East Africa will be on display and for sale in the church parish hall on Oak Shade Road in Rixeyville after each of the morning services, which begin at 8 30 a.m., and 10 a.m. each Sunday. African Team Ministries provides orphans with the opportunity to go to school, helps train lay elders in Kenya in AIDS prevention ministry, and helps displaced Kenyans who have been forced from their homes by political unrest.
