Washington Volunteer Fire and Rescue department is selling Rappahannock July 4 T-shirts again this year. Shirts are available at the Washington fire department prior to July 4 for $8 to $15, depending on size. These shirts are a great way to show your “Rappahannock Pride" and support our fire and rescue volunteers. Stop by the fire department and purchase your shirt for the fourth and wear it with pride. You can also buy them at the 4th of July celebration at the Thornton Hill race course outside of Sperryville.
Meals on Wheels
Woodville resident Thom Pellikaan delightfully surprised the Rappahannock News staff Monday when he delivered a homemade lunch served on a beautiful wicker tray, complete with a tasty chicken dish, ratatouille (made with vegetables from his garden), and a cucumber salad. Thom is a great cook as his neighbors and friends know. It really hit the spot. Thank you, Thom.
Everything is growing, including the number of food donors, the amount of food donations, and the number of households served by the Rappahannock Food Pantry, according to volunteer Ellen Berg.
