Building Systems Program Coordinator

Dept of General Services seeking qualified applicants to fill vacancy located in Facilities Support program. Will assist in developing comprehensive facilities repair program: monitor performance; manage, identify, & oversee facilities inspections performed by contract consultants; review/analyze facility inspection reports, catalog repairs & maintenance required and any unsafe condition for each facility; prepare specifications, develop criteria & assist in contractor selection: make reports to supervisor; bid or renew service contracts on-time; verify work is completed to specs; and authorize payment for job order contracting, periodic contract work to be done on buildings/ grounds. Requires any combination of education and experience equal to high school graduation with course work in building construction/carpentry trades and 4 years directly related experience in constructing and maintaining building systems, including minimum 1 year of experience in acquiring & managing construction contracts. Valid, appropriate driver2s license. Must be able to work in extreme temperatures and lift 50 lbs.; some work may be hazardous due to location or type of work. Subject to recall or being held beyond scheduled workday if required by County or Departmental requirements. Must be available to respond to County emergencies as directed in accordance with Department policy and written or verbal directive. Successful candidate must undergo a driver's license check.
