NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND INTENTION TO ADOPT AMENDMENTS TO TOWN SEWER ORDINANCE
AS TO ELIGIBILITY TO BE AN ‘‘EXISTING USER" KINDLY TAKE NOTICE that the Town Council of the Town of Washington, Virginia will hold a public hearing on the 14th day of July, 2009, beginning at 7:30 p m. at the Town Hall of Washington, Virginia to consider the advisability of adopting amendments to the Town Sewer Ordinance which would have the effect of 1. treating any property within the Sewer Service District with a structure existing as of January 1, 2009 whose owner applied prior to that time for a health department drainfield permit to install a sewage facility, but was denied, to be treated as an Existing User; and 2 if any additional properties are added to the Sewer Service District, structures with sewerage facilities existing as of January 1, 2009 will be treated as Existing Users. A complete copy of the proposed sewer ordinance amendments is available at the town offices during normal business hours. All are invited to attend the public hearing at the time and place aforesaid and present their views. The hearing is being held in a public facility believed to be accessible to persons with disabilities. Any person with questions on the accessibility to the facility should contact the Town Clerk by telephone at 540-675-3128.
