At the farm show, the children and their animals will be judged on the quality of meat, cleanliness, making eye contact with the judges, and presentation. Winners will be awarded ribbons and can sell their prize-winning hogs or steers for money.

Housed in the homemaker's building, entrants display everything from leaf collections and hand-made quilts, to apple pies and summer squash There are hundreds of categories for children and adults to show off their hobbies and aspects of rural life.
“I enjoy being able to see what other people are doing in their hobby time," “said Zinn-Day. “It's just good, healthy competition."
