Vacation Bible
School
Janet Jenkins, director of the Washington Baptist Church Vacation Bible School, said that they had a successful turnout last week. Forty children attended.
The school had a theme each day but the overall theme was a circus. Each day the children earned a ticket for doing their good deed and learning their bible verse. Then on the last day they had a carnival outside, which included games. The children could use their tickets that they earned during the week for the carnival. On the last day, the children had hot dogs and ice cream. Jenkins said that all the youth “had a good time.”
Vacation Bible School brings back memories as I went to it at the same church when I was small. The wonderful memories still linger with me.
