The Cougars, who defeated Rappahannock County in their second game of the 2008 season, converted two first-half miscues into a pair of touchdowns and a 14-0 lead at the half.
They added a third score early in the third quarter to increase their margin to 20-0.
Rappahannock County’s only score came with about three minutes left in the third quarter. A muffed East Hardy punt put the ball on its 25 yard line. Senior quarterback Justin Fitzmorris scrambled the distance and Greg Czekaj added the extra point to cut the deficit to 20-7.
