Mrs. Grove then recognized the students who rode on the WCDS prize-winning float, dressed as gods and goddesses, in the Flint Hill Carnival Parade. Other announcements concerned sports practices, physicals, and meetings. Assembly closed with compliments to the grade one students who sat attentively during their first assembly, and as is tradition, seniors were excused first, followed by the upper then lower school students.
