Pursuant to Section 170-129 of the Rappahannock County Code and Section 15.2-2204 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended, notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors for Rappahannock County, Virginia, will hold a public hearing on Monday. October 5, 2009 at 7:00pm in the Courthouse in Washington. Virginia, in order to consider the following applications:
RZ 09-08-01 Sheila O Brien Wolk, Trustee, owner of the property located at 685 Zachary Taylor Highway, Flint Hill (.345 acre, Tax Map 13, Parcel 76, Wakefield District), desires to rezone the property from VR-Village Residential to VC-Village Commercial. Uses to be restricted to retail and professional offices. Rezoning allowed pursuant to Code Section 170-134 of the Rappahannock County Code.
SE 09-08-02 Beverly Samuels, dba F.T. Valley Grocery, owner of .641 acre located at 1455 F.T. Valley Road, Sperryville (Tax Map 38, Parcel 52, zoned A-Agricultural, Piedmont District), desires a Special Exception permit to install a private, FAST High Strength Commercial, by Bio-Microbics, Inc., wastewater treatment system as there is no on-site repair area that will satisfactorily replace the existing system. Permit allowed pursuant to Code Section 170-36C, with additional standards under Code Section 170-64H, of the Rappahannock County Code.
SE 09-08-03 The Playhouse Corporation, by Douglas K. Baumgardner, Of Counsel, owner of 184.89 acres (Tax Map 41, Parcel 23, zoned A-Agricultural, Stonewall-Hawthorne District), propose to amend two conditions of Special Exception permit 08-06-02, issued August 4, 2008 as follows: 1) Events will utilize existing structures, with such temporary structures (such as tents) as may be necessary prior to construction of permanent improvements; and 2) The number of permitted attendees shall be increased to 400 persons at a given time. Amendment allowed pursuant to Code Section 170-36H, with additional standards under Code Section 170-69E, of the Rappahannock County Code.
A copy of the foregoing applications are on file at the Zoning Office in Washington, Virginia, and are available for public inspection, Monday through Friday. 8 30am to 4 30pm Said applications will be presented to the Rappahannock County Planning Commission at their regular meeting on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 7:30pm at the Rappahannock County Courthouse for such recommendation as the Commission may wish to make pursuant to Section 170-55, if any.
