With floors gleaming, classrooms ready, teachers prepared, and Head of School Kathleen Grove outside greeting each of the 240 students by name, Wakefield Country Day School began its 2009-2010 academic year on Aug. 26.
From the first grade students looking especially proud in their new uniforms, to the seniors who will spend their final year at WCDS, it was a day of welcoming old friends and making new friendships.
