Bernard Smoot Enlists

In U. S. Air Force

. The enlistment of Bernard T. Smoot of Washington in the U. S. Air Force is announced by the U. S. Army and U. S. Air Force Recruiting Station, 126 S. Main Street, Culpeper. Mr. Smoot is a veteran of World War II, having served 18 months during that conflict overseas and in the United States. He has been sent temporarily to Lackland Air Base, San Antonio; Texas, where he will be interviewed and assigned to an Air Force (Base.

The Recruiting officer will be in Washington every Wednesday to interview applicants, both white and colored for the U. S. Army and U. S. Air Force. The same applies for women interested in either branch of the service.
