Polio Campaign
The amount of $693.80 was realized in- the county from the polio drive. Amounts contributed by the various districts were: Hampton, $180.14; Piedmont, $155.08; Wakefield, $112.24; Stonewall, $1,13.50; Jack s o n, $31,32; and Hawthorne $42.02.
Those throughout the county who have not yet contributed to the infantile paralysis fund may still send in their contributions to the tlreast'tier of the drive, Robert L. Brown, who is anxious t,o increase the contributions until the goal of $700.00 is reached.
Flint Hill P.-T. A.
Will Present Play
The members of the P.-T. A. of the Flint Hill Elementary School met on Tuesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Browning in Flint Hill, to begin practice on a comedy entitled, “The Campbells Are Coming.” The play will be given the latter part of March.
Week Of Prayer
The W.M.U. of the Washington Baptist church will observe a week of prayer for Home Missions which will begin on Sunday, February 26, and continue through Friday. A special prayer service will be held at the church on Sunday immediately following Sunday School.
