Rapp’k Garden Club

Mrs. Frances Blankenbaker of the Madison aGrden Cl . b was truest speaker of the Rappahannock Carden Club which met at' the home of Mrs. \Y. F. Moffett' Wednesday afternoon. She spoke on the trarden planting program and about the good varieties of vegetables to be planted.

The exhibits were on forced flower arrangements. Mrs. L. J. Kilby won the first highest award for her exhibit of jonquils, pansies, and foliage plants, w'niich were arranged around an attractive piece of bare branch. The second highest score was received by Mrs. George Taylor for her arrarfgement of crocus and creeping phlox. Mrs. James M. Settle won the third highest number of points on her exhibit of forced japonica with evergreens.

Mrs. George H. Davis Jr., and Mrs. L. J. Turner gave a report on the flower judging school they attended at Farniville last week.

Mrs. J. G. Revercomb was unanimously elected vice president to succeed Mrs. J. P. Snead Jr., who resigned.

The club members have purchased tickets to attend the national flower show to be held in Washington in March.
