Sheep Shearing Schools
Dates for the annual series of sheep shearing’ schools sponsored by Virginia Agricultural Extension Service have been announced by George W. Litton, sheep specialist.
The schools will be held May 1-2 at Blacksburg on the Heath farm, May 3-4 at Staunton in the purebred sales pavilion, and May 5-6 at Front Royal at the beef cattle research center.
Litton said the first morning session at each school will be demoted to instruction and demonstration. The remainder of the two days will be taken up with practice and correction sessions.
Classes will be conducted by Litton with E. A. Warner of the Sunbeam Corporation assisting. There is no charge. Application for enrollment should be made through the county agent.
