Senator Benjamin T. Pitt* of Fredericksburg, president of Pitts Theatre Corporation, was present with Paramount representatives at the time arrangements were made for "Bing Crosby Day” in Front Royal and the world premiere of the newest Crosby movie, "Riding High.” Sen. Pitts was especially interested in this project as promoting recreation among youth, for as sponsor of many sports among young people, Senator Pitts has always exhibited interest in healthful recreation for youngsters.

Will Sponsor Play The Woman’s Auxiliary to the Rappahannock Volunteer Fire Company, will sponsor the play "The Campbells Are Coming,” a three-act comedy which will be presented by the Flint Hill Parent-Teacher’s
Association at the Washington High School auditorium Friday, March 31, at 7:30 p.m. This play was attended by a large crowd when it was given last week at the Flint Hill school auditorium Friday and Saturday evenings. The tickets for the play were sold out for both performances. Members of the cast are Mrs. John S. Browning, Mrs. G. W. Smith, Miss Lelia Gentry, Rev. Norman J. Flythe, John S. Browning, H. S. Barksdale, Claude Cook, Mrs. B. J. Wood, Charles B. Wood and Mrs. James £. Tates.
