The total assessed valuation in 1949 of land and improvements in Rappahannock is $2,607,386; personal property values bring a figure of $1,785,614, making a total of appi oximately $4,392,000.
The tax rate has been $1.85 for all districts exee'pt Piedmont and Hampton; these two had a levy of $2 because of district road bonds outstandng. Hampton has now paid its road bonds and Piedmont has the load bonds outstanding. .
