J. Rodes Brown, Jr., wu umej cashier toy the directors of the Rappahannock National Bank at the meeting Tuesday afternoon, following the banquet meeting of the stockholders and directors at the firehouse in Washington, Tuesday, January 9.
Mr. Brown succeeds Mrs. B. F. Bruce who was named cashier in March, 1949, at the resignation > of J. L. Wirt*. Mrs. Bruce and Allen D. Johnson were named assistant cashiers. "* Following service in World War H, Rodes Brown, Jr., completed his education at (University of Richmond and returned to his home county and accepted a position in the Rappahannock National Bank. He and Mrs. Brown, the former Peggy Thornton, make their home in Sperryville.
