Firemen Attend Class
Jack Griffin, of the Culpeper Volunteer Fire Department, was in Washington Tuesday evening to instruct in a class in duties for Volunteer firemen. He gave lessons in efficient methods in storing and caring for equipment and advised that every fireman be able to do anything that is necessary for firefighting. Each fireman may have a special job that he does better than another, but he should be able to run any part of the equipment if necessity demands it.
The firemen attending the first class Tuesday were L. J. Turner, C. T. Bruce, T. M. Johnston, J. W. Critzer, James M. Settle, Clyde Jenkins, Charlie Jenkins, and Harold B. Estes.
William Button, also of the Culpeper fire department, accompanied Jack Griffin for the first class in Washington. *
