The linotype cast the first slug in the new office at exactly 2:35 p.m., January 2.

Miss Evelyn Tyler Miller insists she washed the first window in the new office, though she and her mother 'had some argument about which one washed which pane first. Miss Gladys Reid finished washing the windows—for the first time—and it was some job!

Archie Dodson spread the first gravel to help fill in the mud-holes around the front door.

Jake Cary was the first one to put a shoulder to the big press when it started moving into the new building—-and it moved. Mr. Cary’s weight was sufficient even without the strength. Mr. Merrill feels safe in saying it’s the first time his wrecker ever moved a printing press, and it may the first time a wrecker wad" ever used for such.

The printers welcome anyone, who is interested to come visit the new print shop. It is far from straight and clean as yet, but company is always welcome. The first thing that was moved into the new building was a '‘welcome” sign-—figuratively—and it shall remain hanging. ,
