Rep. Harrison Joins
The Lists of Famous
Our Representative in Congress is getting ready to be named in that hall of fame 'which lists Drew Pearson, a certain music critic of a Washington (D.C.) newspaper, the Marine Corps, and a few chosen others who have incurred the displeasure of the President.
According to Mr. Pearson recently the President was most unhappy about Mr. Harrison’s Bitting; but perhaps he was afraid that the Representative would be “roosting” like some other Virginia-birds.
From quarters around these mountains, there is much confidence in Rep. Harrison’s ability, and there may be some opinion that anyone who criticizes him would be the one exhibiting poor judgment.
Drew Pearson said that the President was angry, but he must not have been very angry, for there was no reference made to Mr. Harrison’s maternal ancestry, nor was he invited out for a round of fisticuffs. Besides this evidence, pointing to only displeasure and not severe anger, there was no letter written.
