“The Dents! Clinic
The Virginia State Department of Health assists the counties of the State in conducting dental clinics in schools in the rural areas. Dental treatment consists of filling, cleaning or extracting children’s teeth. The conditions under which these clinics are con* ducted are as follows:
1. The county, through the Health Officer, providing the county is covered by full-time Local Health Services, or through the Division of Superintendent of Schools in those cases where a Health Unit does not exist, makes formal application for a clinic to to Bureau of Dental Health, State Department of Health.
2. The dental clinic is held in the county at a time specified by the Director of the Bureau of Dental Health. The time is set, whenever possible to conform to the time requested by the county.
3. The dental clinic is conducted by a clinician employed by the State Department of Health. The clinician is directly responsible for the conduct and overall organisation of the dental clinic in the county.
