There will he an all day F. T. Valley No. 2 H. D. meeting held at the home of Mra. Henry Sisk, January 18, starting at 10 a.m. The demonstration will be on hammering aluminum and copper trays. Each person is to. bring a covered dish for the occasion.
One H. D. club met last week and hammered some lovely trays. This club was the Washington H. D. club. The meeting started ~ promptly at 7 p.m., and by 10 o’clock there was a lovely display of handwork. About eight or nine trays were completed. Besides the demonstration club had a short business meetng and decided to give |5 toward the County Dental clinic and $2 for the March of Dimes.
Most all the county 4-H clubs were met by the agent last week. The Sperryville No. 1 dub had as their project Mhow to press woolens” and the correct way of cutting out of a dress.
The Forest GroVe dub is taking a housekeeping project this year. At their meeting they learned how to make table mats and make a covering for a broom.
The Keager 4-H 'girls, takfn* “So You’d Like to Sew” project, learned how to make head scarfs.
Washington N. 2 4-H club is taking a clothing construction project. At this meeting we talked about all the girls getting patterns and materials.
Sperryville No. 2 club is taking housekeeping as their project for the year. This club elected a new secretary-treasurer, Mary Norman Davis, and a new devotional leader, Mildred Sisk. The dub also decided on making some money for the dub. They plan to have a food sale in Culpeper some time within the next month.
Amissville 4-H dub met last week. These girls are taking a sewing project and learned how to make a head scarf at this meeting.
