TRY-OUT SCHEDULED FOR TOWN TELEVISION SET
Friday night, November 9, at 7 o’clock is the scheduled try-out hour for Washington’s gift television set, in the town hall over the firehouse.
According to Miss Ruby Jackins, a member of Washington’s town council, the new conmbinttion television, radio and record player will be installed by that time aad ready for the public to enjoy.
The 20-inch television screen will be turned on by Mr. Moore, of Moore’s Electrical Appliances, of Front Royal, who is installing the combination set in the Town Hall.
The gift is a contribution to the recreation facilities of Washington.

'Four Advertisers Appear
In 'Every Issue
Since the first edition of Rappahannock News, November 3, 1949, four advertisers have never missed having their business advertised in the paper.
W. Arthur Miller, real estate broker, is the only business in Rappahannock who has never missed a single issue for advertising in his local paper.
One business in Front Royal, one in Culpeper, and the Pitts’ Theatres in Culpeper and Front Royal are the three consistent advertisers.
Donahoe’a Flower Shop in Front Royal, with Mrs. C. E. Giles of Washington as county representative, has had its notice in every issue of the paper sifice the first one.
C. Roy Jones, jeweler of Culpeper, is the business from that neighboring town who has had ah advertisement in Rappahannock’s paper every issue since the paper started.
There are many advertisers who have been consistent advertisers in the paper, if not in every issue. Some of these advertise their business every other week, and have done so consistently. There are several advertisers who have missed one or two issues, but do not have 100 per cent records like the four listed.
