in the office is Miss Burma Bowie, bookkeeper. On the wall'of the office hangs a picture of the honorary member of the paper’s staff, Mr. W. E. Compton, retired printer and ex-Mayor of Washington. Other pictures are of two men who have proved to be eery good friends of the paper, Charles Wood Keyser and Rep. Burr P. Harrison. Another picture shows the three printers who started the paper in 1949, L. C. Bowie, Bruce Bowie, and Jack Barber, standing in front of the building on the corner in Washington, where the first issue was printed.
