When Rappahannock News got ready to celebrate its birthday, it was discovered that Watts’ Barber and Beauty Shop, Washing, and Newberry’s in Front Royal are having anniversaries also.
Marion G. Watts is twice as old as Rappahannock News with his Barber and Beauty Shop, but he never will be again. Hereafter, he’s only two years older.
Newberry’s in Front Royal is celebrating the second anniversary of the opening of their enlarged store. The famous ten-cent store had been in Front Royal before November, 1949, but it grew up to be a big store at that time, so that’s the birthday they celebrate.
