JUDGE H. M. DUDLEY

Judge GEL M. Dudley, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Dudley, was born in l'S55. He went to Mr. Thomas Holdtzman’s school and read law under Judge Strother, later becoming his law partner. He was later elected County Judge. Mr. Dudley married Miss Eugenia Eastham, sister of Mrs. E. W. Brown, November 10, 1®85. They had two children, L. H. Dudley, who married Miss Catherine Wal. ler, of Alexandria, and is now president of the Alexandria National Bank. A daughter, Della Miller, married Judge John Hutton of Suffolk. Mrs. Hutton died a few years ago.

Judge Dudley was the first president of the Rappahannock National Bank, where he passed away suddenly on September 3, 1907.

James French Strother, son of the late Judge and Mrs. James F. Strother., is the only member of the 189^4 Council now living. He was born at “The Meadows” the old Strother home. Mr. Strother graduated in law at the University of West Virginia. He and his wife the former Miss Elizabeth Grant of Baltimore, live in Welch, West Virginia, where Mr. Strother is a prominent lawyer.
