Day Services
At Amissville Baptist
At the regular morning service, November 11 a special Armistice Day Memorial service will be held. There will be a dedication of a pulpit picture, “The Head of Christ” by Warner E. Sallman. This beautiful picture is a gold leaf frame of 35X45 in size was given by Mrs. A. C. Latham, Sr. in memory of her son, Wendell. He gave his life in service of his country during World War II. Every member of the church is urged to be present and visitors will receive a cordial welcome.
—.-^-.—MISSION STUDY CLASSES HOLD TWO MEETINGS
The first meeting of the Mission Study Class was held Sunday afternoon at the Methodist parsonage at Flint Hill. Mrs. Norman J. Flythe was the teacher and had as her topic the Book of Acts. Those who attended from Sperryville included Mrs. C. E. Brown and her mother, Mrs. Silas Bruce, Mrs. George Brown, Misses Della, Beulah, and Ebba Hitt. On Monday night the class met in the Sunday sthool room of the Methodist church in Sperryville. There were representatives from the Woman's Society of Christian Service at Flint Hill and Washington.
