“Jack” Likes His Weekly

Most young men of this atomic age scurry off to big cities for fame and fortune, but Pfc. John .M. Barber, Jr. says printing in a smalltown weekly newspaper shop is his way of life.
The Culpeper, Virginia, airman doesn’t go for modern printing ways either. He loVes the country shop, with its flatbed presses and handset type. Jack says he’d be content to settle in the foothills of Virginia in some country weekly shop and dabble in his chosen profession, forgetting the hurry-scurry of neon lights^ subways, and world turmoil.
Jack left his “way of life” in June when Uncle Sam crooked a finger at him. However,* the 24year-old Virginian has “peace of mind” once again in the U.* S. Air Force. He will continue his “way of life” with the 5Slst Air Resupply and Communications Wing here. He has been assigned to the 581st Reproduction Squardon.
With ten years experience as a printer, Jack was classified a senior pressman after completing basic training at Sampson AFB, N«w York.
