Mrs. R. M. Johnson continues on the sick list at her home at Woodville. Pvt. Dave Miller of Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania visited his parents, Mr. aifd Mrs. D. D. Miller over the week-end. Other guests in the Miller home for dinner Sunday were Miss Lena Mae Green and Mrs. Bartow Brown.
W. F. Moffett, Jr., J. R. DeBergh and Richard Beck were in Richmond on Saturday for the Washington & Lee-V.P.I. football game. They were accompanied to Richmond by Mrs. W. Frank Moffett who spent the day with her sister, Mrs. Robert DeShay Lucas.
Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Partlow and Mrs. Russell Partlow were guests Monday of Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Brown.
Mrs. Lily Barber, Miss Mary Stark, Mrs. C. B. Johnson, and J. Hill O’Bannon were among those in Culpeper Thursday to attend funeral services for Hollis Stephenson, uncle of Miss Annie Stephenson of Woodville.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Aylor and their two children Joe and Ann Yates of Arlington, were week-end guests of Mrs. Aylor’s mother Mrs. Della Howard at the Lee Highway Hotel. On their return to Arlington Sunday afternoon they were accompanied by Mrs. James M. Yates, who will be their guest this week.
Mrs. John Tapp and children spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Collins in Arlington. Mrs. James Doyle and Miss Laura Doyle were dinner guests Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. Collins.
Miss Mattie Rector is spending a few days this week with Mrs. John Johnson on the “Red Oak.”
