Nev Restaurant & Station
Tuesady, August 12, is set as the grand opening day for. Guy’s Service Station and Restaurant on the Washington-Sperryville highway, two miles west of Washington.
Guy Lillard, proprietor, has completely remodeled, added-to, and decorated the building formerly used by Rev. R. H. Scroggins as a wood-working shop into a modern, up to-date, attractive restaurant. An addition to the building houses the. service station with complete facilities for lubrication and washing cars.
Mr, Lillard, a native of Madison, has had 15 years’ experience in this particular type of business, having worked six years at Massie’s Corner, three years at Sperryville, and the last six years at Page Service Station, Luray.
Mr. and Mrs. Lillard and their three. children, Eddie, Judy, and Guy, Jr., have moved into their newly-remodeled home adjoining the restaurant and station property.
The new restaurant, pine-paneled, has tiled floors and is furnishtd in canary yellow and chronium tables and chairs. The restaurant is aif-conditioned. Full-course dinners will be served as iwell as short orders.
The service station dispenses all Amoco products.
