FIRE AUXILIARY ' ' ,y. The tegular meeting of the Ladles Auxiliary tte the Rappahannock Fire' Company held its regular meeting over the Fire House Monday, August 11, at 7:30 p.m., with eight members present.
Plans were formulated to sponsor a bake sale on the Bank lot, Saturday August 23, beginning at 10 a.m, for the benefit of the Rappahannock Fire Company.. As this, project should be ef special interest to the citizens of Wakefield and Hampton District, the president, Mrs. Wade H. Massie Jr., wishes to appeal to the people and solicit their cooperation in making this sale a success since this is the only money making project put on by the ladies during the sumjper months.
Anyone interested is asked to
and express a desire to help by donating foods, such as homemade cakes, candies, pies, biscuits, rolls, etc. If one prefers cash donations or a gift for the grab bag* either would help so much
Miss Ruth Stevens, treasurer, was asked to scad z check of $65 to the treasurer of Amissville Fire Cdfnpany. This donation was realized from the funds received from the supper given in July for the ab*ve purpose.
