I have never voted for a Congressman nor a Senator that I felt needed watching. If other states have such inferior quality men and that’s all they have to vote for, then my sincere sympathy is extended.
To place our Senate and House of Representatives on a par with “Howdy Hoody” and term them entertainment in undignified, uncouth, and ill-appointed. Their business they conduct is our business—and involves our own wellbeing as well as that of much of the world.

It’s so nice and confusing to be just an average little guy in this great, wide world. Wars get started; we’re not always sure what started the fight, but we know we are called upon to fight it; we’re not certain exactly why we * are fighting, but we do our best—and then, like as not, we never find out what it was all about, anyway.
