Miss Barbara Brown of Washington, D. C. was a week-end gnest of her mother, Mrs. Catherine Brown. Mr. and Mrs. F. R. Taylor, Miss Jean Taylor and Jack Taylor joined Mrs. Mary G. Taylor for a weekend visit at “Linger Longer,” their country home near Sperryville.

Mr. and Mrs. John Davis were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Wood Saturday evening.

Mrs C. W. Ewing and son, Bill of Harrisonburg are guests of her sister, Miss Louise Schwartz.

Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Wood and Robert Estes were dinner guests of Mrs. Carroll Menefee and family Wednesday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. James Atkins spent several days last week at Massanetta Springs. __..

Mr. and Mrs. L. N. Singleton of Chicago are spending a vacation with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ei J. Singleton.

Miss Josephine Butler spent several days this .week with Miss Beatrice Jenkins.

Mrs, H. L. Miller and Mrs. Bertie Lib Moffett were shoppers in Charlottesville Wednesday^ ■'Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Miller spent the day Sunday at Colonial Beach.

BRIDGE PARTY

Mrs. Brown Miller entertained the Bridge Club and additional guests at “Sunstroke Manor,” the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Winfrey Tuesday evening. Her guests included Mrs. John Davis, Mrs. W. W. Sanford, Mrs. D. Lyle Miller, Mrs. R. G. Quaintance, Mrs. John P. Snead, Mrs. I. R Kilby, Mrs. L. J. Kilby, Mrs Charles H. Estes, Mrs. R. E. Thompson, Mrs. James M. Thornton, Mrs. Lee Thornton, Mrs. George L. Taylor,. Mrs, C. E. Johnson Jr., Mrs. C. H. H. Branch, Mrs. Holmes Hall, Mrs. Carroll Menefee, Mrs. Corrie Eastham, Mrs. Fred Schaefer, Mrs. R. E. Wood and Miss Louise O’Bannon. Mrs. Miller won high score prize, Mrs. Eastham won second high, Mrs. Johnson traveling, Mrs. Estes bingo and low score went to Mrs. I. R. Kilby. The hostess assisted by Mrs. Winfrey served her guests a salad course?
