Dr. Quaintance Named Hospital Medical Pres.

Dr. Rupert W. Quaintance, Jr., was elected President of the Culpeper Memorial Hospital Medical Staff for the year 1963 at the January meeting of the Culpeper Memorial Hospital Medical Staff. Dr. Quaintance was born in Lundale, West Virginia, and is a graduate of the University of Richmond and the University of Virginia, School of Medicine. He interned in Indianapolis General Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana, and went into private practice in Culpeper in 1951. Dr. Quaintance is the son of Dr. and Mrs. R. W. Quaintance, Sr., of Slate Mills, and is married to the former Miss Virginia Neligh of Indianapolis. They have four children. The other members of the Medical Staff elected to office for the year 1963 were Dr. Cecil G. Finney, Vicepresident and Dr. Grahame F. Henson, Secretary - Treasurer. Dr. Quaintance will make Medical Staff committee appointments this week.

Hound Dog Drag Race Set At Haywood Sat.

The fox hound drag race sponsored by Madison County Wildlife Association will be held at Col. Kelso’s farm, two miles east of Haywood, Madison County, Saturday, Jan. 19, at 10 a.m. Entries are asked to be in place by 9 a.m. for numbering.

A live fox will be released after the drag race. Also on the program will'be a horn.fatowing contest.
