County sheep producers stand to profit by the intensive scabies eradication program which will be launch* ed in Virginia February 4-18 when around 250 inspectors \yill scrutinize every sheep they can find. The county agent says the inspection and the subsequent treatment of all infected flocks, will be free of charge to producers, and should rid the state and the county of the money-losing malady. What is scabies? The County Agent says most sheep producers know only too well* An ancient scourge, it was a plague to Biblical shepherds. Although an effective treatment has been available for many decades, the problem of eradication has beerCone of identification and location of infected flocks.
